Five things you should know about me:
1. I collect things... I'm like a bower-bird: if something's shiny or sparkly or colourful or purdy, then I want one... no, I want 10! one in each colour, shape and size... my house if full of fru-fru crap that I'll NEVER use, but just can't bring myself to throw away...
2. I'm a sagittarius... independent, loud, opinionated, creative, fiercely loyal, fun loving, rarely bored and easily amused...
3. I'm a staunch and unashamed advocate of animal rights... there is no excuse for cruelty to animals... NO EXCUSE (can you see the 'opinionated' part of my sagittarius-self emerging yet?)
4. I'm slightly addicted to junk food (read: can't live without the stuff)... this was not so much a problem when I was a young, club-hopping party girl (timeframe: some time in the late 80s/early 90s), but is proving to be more of a problem now that I am a 30-something wifey...
5. I love to dance, can't sing (but do it often anyway), am right handed and hate housework... I swear A LOT, read romances, can reverse park perfectly every time, and think Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the single most important television show ever made... I'm stuck in an 80s time-wrap (a fact that can be confirmed if you've ever seen me shake-my-groove-thang out on the dancefloor... no technique variations since 1986!), hate pumpkin, am allergic to tomotoes and pineapple and I never ever ever judge a book by it's cover...

Hobbies and interests... hmmmm... where to start? well, I guess I'd have to say: writing (short stories, novels, although none of that poetic literary stuff... I'm not that talented... or dull), watching movies, reading books, listening to music, admiring art (I'm particularly partial to the expressionists, post-impressionists, pop artists and surrealists), collecting fru-fru crap, pestering my husband when I'm bored, creating art (I paint, I draw, I write), taking photographs, tormenting the cats when they're trying to sleep, talking to friends both here and abroad, watching tv, barracking for the MIGHTY TIGERS in the AFL... oh, and most importantly: SHOPPING!!!!
